The ABC Dry Chemical Powder fire extinguisher is India's most widely mandated type. Effective against Class A (wood, paper, fabric), Class B (flammable liquids), and Class C (electrical) fires — a single extinguisher covers the majority of common fire hazards in any commercial or residential building.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) extinguishers discharge non-conductive, clean gas that leaves zero residue after use — critical for protecting servers, electrical panels, and precision equipment. The CO2 displaces oxygen to smother the fire without causing secondary damage to electronics.

Water CO2 extinguishers use water propelled by CO2 gas to provide deep-penetrating cooling action on Class A fires (wood, paper, fabric, rubber). The water stream soaks into burning materials, reducing the temperature below the ignition point and preventing re-ignition.

Mechanical Foam (AFFF) extinguishers generate a blanket of aqueous film-forming foam that seals the fuel surface, cutting off oxygen supply and preventing vapour release. Highly effective for Class A and Class B fires — especially fuel spills, solvent stores, and paint booths.

Clean Agent extinguishers use halon-replacement agents such as FK-5-1-12 or Novec 1230 to suppress fire at the molecular level. They leave no residue, have zero ozone depletion potential, and are safe for occupied spaces — the preferred choice for data centres, museums, and pharmaceutical storage.

Modular fire extinguishers are ceiling-mounted, self-activating units that discharge automatically when ambient temperature reaches the threshold — requiring no human intervention. Ideal for unmanned electrical panels, generator rooms, and server closets that cannot be monitored 24/7.

Annual refilling of fire extinguishers is mandatory under Indian fire safety rules. Sujay Fire provides on-site refilling services for all extinguisher types — ABC powder, CO2, water, foam, and clean agent — with proper recharging, seal replacement, and updated service labels.

Hydrostatic (hydraulic) pressure testing checks a fire extinguisher cylinder's structural integrity by subjecting it to test pressures significantly above working pressure. Mandated every 5 years under BIS IS 15683 and IS 2878 standards — non-compliant cylinders must be condemned.
